Standing right BV (severance pay company)

In the past you could have the lump sum of a severance pay paid into your own so-called standing right BV (stamrecht BV in Dutch). It was imperative that this payment was made directly from your employer into the BV If all requirements were met then there is no taxation on the severance pay until the BV pays out a regular (pension type of) income at a later stage, as desired.

If you have a standing right BV until then you can freely use the capital for amongst other things investments, a mortgage to finance your own property or your new business start-up. This option consequently is a very flexible one.
